Iceland to open in Clonmel creating 40 new local jobs and invest €3 million in latest expansion programme
The AIM Group, one of Ireland's largest independent wholesalers and the holder of the master franchise of Iceland supermarkets in Ireland, will announce the creation of over 40 jobs at the roll out of their new Iceland retail store in Clonmel, Tipperary. The new 8,000 sq ft store is located at the Showgrounds Shopping Centre and will be officially opened on Thursday next, 10th November 2011 at 10.00am.
The Clonmel store is the second store to be opened as part of the retail chain’s major expansion programme for the month of November 2011. Last Thursday (3rd November 2011) Iceland opened its Coolock store in Greencastle Parade, with further stores to be opened in Meath and Carlow over the coming weeks; creating over 200 new jobs across the country and a total investment of €3 million in these four new stores. Further store announcements and openings will take place in the first quarter of 2012.
Commenting on the announcement, Chief Executive, Tom Keogh said, “We are thrilled to be in a position to unveil our Clonmel store which fits very neatly in our strategic pathway for the roll out of Iceland stores across Ireland. Our programme of expansion is very much on track.”
He went onto say, “We are delighted to have been able to recruit 40 staff members from Co. Tipperary for these positions. Many of these new recruits have undergone extensive training and we look forward to welcoming shoppers on Thursday next to our brand new store.”
The existing portfolio of Iceland stores includes Ilac Centre, Finglas, Ballyfermot, Navan Road and Coolock. The Clonmel store will be the sixth store in Ireland and first store outside Dublin. The AIM Group which was founded by Naeem Maniar, an Irish based Indian businessman in 1990, now employs over 500 people throughout its business.

Have you a delicate scalp?
Hype has launched Schwarzkopf Professional’s New Igora Senea, the 1st permanent hair colour recommended by dermatologists for delicate and sensitive scalps.
Often, the most desirable things in life can bring us great discomfort. Like the pair of five-inch Louboutin peep-toe heels that are ultra-stylish but make your toes numb after 10 minutes. There should be no such compromise when it comes to great hair colour, we want unbeatable performance that’s also kind to the scalp. Hype Hair has just launched the stocking of Schwarzkopf Senea, the first-ever permanent colour tested and recommended by dermatologists for use on delicate scalps.
If you are the one out of three women that perceive their scalp as delicate and have stopped colouring hair because of this, you no longer need to compromise on hair colour. Senea is a pioneering colouration with amazing performance and outstanding colour results for use by anyone, but particularly those with delicate scalps.
Senea has 36 brilliant shades and includes a range of home care Shampoo, Conditioning Cream, and Post Color Balm, which have been uniquely designed to help prevent discomfort and enhance colour intensity.
Senea is ideal for clients who’ve stopped colouring due to scalp discomfort, for those with delicate scalps who’ve always been afraid to colour and for women or men who simply endure discomfort during permanent colouring for lack of a better option. It is even great for those with up to 90% white hair who are off-put by the idea of permanent colour.
