
The Showgrounds have teamed up with the Clonmel Junction Festival to bring you an action packed day of festivities on Saturday 10th July.
The day will bring together a selection of the visiting circus and music performers with the artists and trainees from the Cafes Cart Blanche.
The new feature of Clonmel Junction Festival the Charivari will commence at The Showgrounds Shopping Centre with an aerial spectacle from Fidget Feet with dancers from the Dance Café and live music. The gathered crowd will then be brought along the Mall and down the quays to Sarsfield St. carpark entertained along the way by a series of side shows and culminating with a half hour concert and spectacular fire drawing finale.
It all kicks off at the Showgrounds from 3pm, with the aerial dance display from 7.30pm
M&S will celebrate their First Anniversary this weekend 25- 27th June!
Lots of fun is to be had over the weekend with loads of freebies and samples in-store. Tipp FM will be here to help them celebrate on Friday 25th June.
M&S will also be taking the opportunity to raise much needed funds for the local Hospice, which is a great cause.
They'll be doing a static bike challenge, aiming to cycle 500km over the weekend in a bid to raise as much as possible so come along and support them, there'll be the opportunity to win loads of prizes too, including this signed Munster Rugby Jersey!
Make this June Bank Holiday a Magic Bank Holiday weekend with free magic shows in the Showgrounds Shopping Centre. On Sunday 6th and Monday 7th June come to the Showgrounds to witness Pat Fallon, the master of magic and illusion perform his incredible shows for free!
In 1996 Pat Fallon became the first non British act ever to win at the British Magical Championships and is the only Irish based magician ever to be a member of the world famous Inner Magic Circle. In 2009 Pat Fallon received The Merlin Award for his show Rabbits, Hats and Big Boxes which had been voted best family magic show of the year. The president of The International Magicians Society Tony Hassini flew in especially from the USA to make the presentation live on Ireland AM on TV3 .

Continuing its support of local initiatives, The Showgrounds shopping centre has announced a sponsorship deal with Clonmel Town FC.
The Showgrounds has sponsored the tracksuits of the U13 team and in total this year has donated €2,200 to Clonmel Town FC through sponsorship.
Showgrounds Manager Julian Smith commented on the sponsorship: “A number of the schoolboy players from Clonmel Town FC assisted us back in October and November handing out promotion flyers, balloons etc. We are very happy to use and pay for these services which we can source locally especially when we see our funds benefiting local sporting groups and clubs. In total we have written cheques for just over €2,200 to support the Club this year and we are delighted to get involved in supporting local community activities. I know that Clonmel Town FC have produced many great players in the past and we are delighted to support the fantastic work that the club, its coaches and players carry out. Best of luck to Clonmel Town FC for 2010.”
Clonmel Town U13 are an extremely successful team having won the Tipperary Cup two years running. “We are delighted with the support from The Showgrounds. The club depends on the generosity of local businesses and this sponsorship Is a great boost in providing equipment for the team. We are very happy that our team members can also volunteer at Showgrounds events and help out in any way possible.
